Effective September 1, 2026
Globals (“Globals”, “we”, “us”) operates the website at globals.org (the “Site”). This policy explains what information the Site collects, why, who processes it on our behalf, how long it is kept, and the choices available to you. It applies only to the Site. It does not cover the websites or products of the businesses we own, which publish their own policies where required.
In short: the Site has no user accounts, sells nothing, and sets no cookies of its own. We receive what you type into the contact form, standard server logs, and aggregated usage statistics from Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics.
01Information you provide
The only place the Site asks you for information is the contact form. When you submit it we receive:
- your name and email address (required);
- your company or organization (optional);
- the subject you select and the message you write;
- the time the form was opened and submitted, which we use to distinguish people from automated scripts.
The form is delivered to our inbox as an email with your address set as the reply-to, so that we can answer you directly. We may also send you an automated confirmation that the message was received. Do not include passwords, payment details, government identifiers, or other sensitive information in a message; we do not need them and cannot protect them in transit through email.
02Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, the Site's hosting provider records technical information about each request in server logs: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. We use these logs to keep the Site running, diagnose problems, and detect abuse.
When you submit the contact form, your IP address is also held briefly in the server's memory to enforce a limit of a few submissions per fifteen minutes. It is not written to a database and is discarded when that window ends.
Fonts and all page assets are served from our own domain. Viewing the Site does not trigger requests to Google Fonts or to advertising or social networks.
03Analytics and measurement
We use three measurement services to understand how the Site is found and used. All of them report to us in aggregate; none of them provide us with your name or contact details.
Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) records page views and interactions such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the approximate region you visit from, your device and browser type, and the site or search that referred you. Google Analytics uses cookies (see section 4) to recognize returning browsers. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We have not enabled Google Signals, advertising features, or audience remarketing, and we do not link analytics data to information from the contact form. Google describes its own handling of this data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights (Vercel Inc.) record page views, referrers, country, device type, browser, and page-performance timings. They do not use cookies or persistent identifiers. Vercel derives a temporary hash from the request to count a visit once per day and then discards it. See Vercel's analytics privacy notes.
Google Search Console shows us which search queries lead people to the Site and how our pages are indexed. That data comes from Google Search itself, not from your visit, and is aggregated and anonymized by Google. The only trace on the Site is a verification tag in the page header.
05How we use information
- to read and respond to messages sent through the contact form;
- to keep a record of business correspondence;
- to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site;
- to understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful and how visitors reach the Site, so we can improve it;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, use it for automated decision-making, or send marketing email. Your message is used only to reply to you.
06Legal bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests in responding to inquiries you initiate, securing the Site, and measuring its use with the privacy-preserving settings described above;
- Consent, where local law requires it for analytics cookies; you may withdraw it at any time using the methods in section 9;
- Legal obligation where we must retain or disclose information under applicable law.
07Who processes information for us
We do not share personal information with third parties except the service providers below, who process it on our instructions, and authorities where the law requires it. We may also share information in connection with a corporate transaction involving the Site, subject to this policy.
- Vercel Inc. (United States) — Hosting, content delivery, server logs, Vercel Web Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights. Privacy policy
- Google LLC (United States) — Google Analytics 4 (site usage measurement) and Google Search Console (search performance reporting and site verification). Privacy policy
- Resend, Inc. (United States) — Delivery of contact-form messages to our inbox by email. Privacy policy
08International transfers
The providers above operate infrastructure in the United States and other countries, so information may be processed outside the country you live in. Where required, transfers rely on recognized safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses maintained by those providers.
09Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. To make a request, use the contact form and choose the subject “General”; we may need to confirm that the request comes from the address in question.
To opt out of analytics:
- block or delete the cookies listed in section 4 in your browser, or use a content blocker;
- install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which stops Google Analytics on every site you visit;
- Vercel Analytics uses no cookies, so there is nothing to clear; blocking requests to the
/_vercel/path with a content blocker disables it and Speed Insights.
The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control browser signals, because the analytics described here do not sell or share data for advertising.
10How long we keep information
- Contact messages are kept in our email for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward as a business record, after which they are deleted.
- Rate-limit data (your IP address at the time of a form submission) is held in memory for at most fifteen minutes.
- Google Analytics event data is retained for up to 14 months, after which only aggregated reports remain.
- Server logs and Vercel Analytics follow Vercel's retention schedule, which is measured in days for raw logs.
11Security
The Site is served only over HTTPS with HTTP Strict Transport Security enabled. Contact-form input is length-limited, sanitized, checked against automated-submission signals, and rate-limited before it is sent. Secrets used to deliver email are kept server-side and never sent to your browser. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please use the form for ordinary business correspondence only.
12Children
The Site is a corporate information site and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13Links to other sites
The Site links to third-party sites such as our profile on X. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control and which this policy does not cover.
14Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the effective date at the top. Material changes, such as enabling new tracking or sharing data with new categories of recipients, will be called out here for a period after they take effect.
15Contact
Questions about this policy or about information you have submitted can be sent through the contact form with the subject “General”. Globals is the data controller for the information described here.
